Magnetic Map Wallpaper

Here is a Magnetic Map wallpaper we produced for a London based Estate Agent Ellis & Co Willesden Green office last week.

First, our magnet receptive liner was applied to a board raised off the wall, then the tailor made wallpaper was adhered on top of the liner. The estate agent can now position small house shaped magnets where he has properties for sale or rent.

To create the wallpaper we used an A-Z map and then our artwork department converted it to match the agents brand colours. This was then printed onto our durable Smooth wall covering that has a slight satin sheen to it, this enhances the colours of the map.

Our magnet receptive liner can be used with any of our bespoke wallpapers, so any image can be applied on top of it. We can create printed magnets also. Another top seller for Magnetic Walls is a world map or British Isles map both for homes, offices and educational facilities. Customers can then apply magnets to their map on places such as famous landmarks, places they have visited, where family members live, historical locations etc.

Room with a View (a 360 view actually!)

A wallpaper concept that is becoming increasingly popular is the "360 degree view".

Here is an amazing example of one we installed this month. Our client's teenage son wanted a view of New York from his bed - so that's exactly what we gave him! We got in touch with a New York location scout who had imagery he had taken from the observation deck of the Empire State Building for the King Kong film. He created a multi shot panoramic, stitching a number of photos together to create a seamless 360 view, which we then cropped and manipulated to suit all 4 walls of the bedroom.

We made a matching motorised blackout roller blind for the window so his "view" was uninterrupted on that wall.

Printed Space Wins Award for Creativity

Printed Space won the "Creative Business of the Year" award at Friday nights BIBAs hosted by NW Chamber of Commerce. We are so proud of our team, and the award shows how much hard work they have put in to creating the perfect products for our client's needs. In his acceptance speech, Director Kristian Holt thanked the judges for recognising our talent, but made the observation that a lot of our work currently is in London and the South, and how nice it would be to do some work locally in Lancashire - we will have to work out some Northern discount based on postcode area!!

Huge London A-Z map wallpaper

After the Royal National Hotel , our installation team travelled to Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects office to fit this 6m wide x 4m high wallpaper featuring a street map of London. The result was this striking feature wall in their foyer. They think it looks fantastic - and we have to agree!

Our installation team have just got back from fitting out one of the restaurants at London's Royal National Hotel. A beautiful unique design by Adam Ellis, printed onto our "Tactile" textured wallpaper gives a luxurious looking and feeling result. The Hotel are that happy with our work we will be back again in the Spring all being well to apply further murals.

Amazing Gigapan on wallpaper

A 360degree Gigapan panorama of Heathrow Airport was printed over 120 square metres of wallpaper for NATS.
NATS provides air traffic control services to aircraft flying in UK airspace, and over the eastern part of the North Atlantic. We installed this amazing mural in their windowless back up control tower near Heathrow.

Dickies' Wall of Fame

In America, Dickies® workwear attained cult status in the early 1990s, when their ruggedly styled performance clothing started to attract the interest of teenage skateboarders. The trend spread to Europe, where the popularity of the brand among young people continues today.

Top music acts have also taken advantage of Dickies unique brand image: Justin Timberlake, Avril Lavigne, TLC, Limp Bizkit, Westlife and Madonna are just a few of the performers who have worn Dickies clothing on stage.

All Dickies products carry the distinctive Dickies logo, a graphic that has had enormous exposure over the years. Dickies garments have appeared in a large number of Hollywood movies including Herbie: Fully Loaded, Dukes of Hazzard and The Break-up starring Jennifer Aniston. But Dickies movie career goes back even further still, to the classic film From Here to Eternity, starring Frank Sinatra.

With a history like this you want to celebrate it and Dickies UK Ltd came up with the perfect way of sharing such an interesting story. A timeline graphic wall. Once the idea was agreed they cast around looking for a company who would deliver to their own uncompromising standards. That's when they Printed Space. Of course, we used our heavy duty wallpaper - what else? The timeline graphic which they provided had a detailed the history of the company and included several iconic images of the clothing they had produced over the decades. They wanted tough but pin-sharp and that's what we delivered.

Our crystal substrate was decided upon as the wallpaper was to decorate a corridor which was a heavy traffic area and therefore the paper needed a matt laminate to withstand any scratches or scrapes.

Our studio put the timeline together, it was a dream to work on and we were able to produce the whole thing within a week - bang on deadline.

The Brand Manager of Dickies was kind enough to email us and send a photograph saying, “Just wanted to thank you on a fantastic product and quick turn around, it looks great on the wall, a real wow factor!”

Jet 2 - New 757 fleet wallcovering.

The new pictures for Jet 2 fleet of 757 aircraft have been printed and fitted. So look out for them when next flying with Jet 2.

This new product is the worlds first specially designed wallcovering for the airline industry, created in Printed Space's R & D Department.

This is just one of the many new products about to be launched from our prolific R & D team.
